The everyday basics, plus a blocker, encrypted DNS and a proxy built in. No extensions to hunt for, nothing to sign up for.

  • Ad and tracker blocker

    Block lists built into the app stop ads and trackers before they load. It all runs on your phone, a counter shows how much was blocked, and you can allow any site you want to support.

  • Encrypted DNS

    Look up sites over DNS-over-HTTPS with Cloudflare, Google or AdGuard instead of your network’s usual DNS. One switch on the Network screen.

  • A proxy that hides your IP, when you want it

    Turn on our proxy for a limited time and websites see our server’s IP address instead of yours. It stays off until you switch it on.

  • Tabs that come back

    Android keeps your open tabs, so they can come back if the app is stopped in the background and you pick up where you left off.

  • Bookmarks, plus a hidden list

    Keep favourite sites one tap away on the home screen, and keep private ones in a separate hidden list.

  • Desktop mode and dark theme

    Ask for the full desktop version of a site when the mobile one hides what you need. Dark theme and accent colours make it yours.

    Spicy Browser is built on Android System WebView instead of shipping a second web engine of its own.

    Blocked ads and trackers are never fetched, so pages full of them use less data. How much depends on the site.

Privacy

We built it to know as little as possible.

Your bookmarks, tabs and settings stay on your phone. We don’t sell your data or share it for advertising.

  • No account

    Install it and browse. We never ask for your name, email address or phone number.

  • No tracking SDKs

    No analytics, advertising or crash-reporting SDKs in the app, and no profiles.

  • No proxy connection logs

    Our proxy servers don’t record your IP address or the sites you visit.

  • Your data stays on your phone

    Bookmarks, tabs and settings are stored on the device. Android cloud backup is turned off for the app.

The proxy changes the IP address websites see. It doesn’t add encryption of its own: sites that use HTTPS stay encrypted as usual, and sites that don’t, aren’t.
